Abstract

The Peace and Security Council (PSC), acting under Article 7 of its Protocol, reaffirmed Member States’ commitment to AU principles, including sovereignty, territorial integrity, and peaceful dispute resolution. It called for full implementation of UNSC Resolution 2719 (2023) on AU-led peace support operations and enhanced financial mobilization. The PSC emphasized diplomacy, early warning systems, regional cooperation, and stronger institutional capacity. It also stressed compliance with AU instruments, conflict prevention, natural resource governance, and monitoring PSC decision implementation.
