Communiqué of the 3rd Meeting of the Panel of the Wise of the African Union Held on 12 - 14 October 2008, Algiers, Algeria.

At the invitation of the Government of Algeria, the Panel of the Wise established pursuant to Article 11 of the Protocol establishing the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU), with the mandate to support the efforts of the Chairperson of the Commission and those of the PSC, particularly as regards conflict prevention, held its third meeting, in Algiers, from 12 to 14 October 2008. In addition to the Chairperson of the Panel, Mr. Ahmed Ben Bella, Dr. Brigalia Bam, Mr. Miguel Trovoada and Dr. Salim Ahmed Salim also participated in the meeting
