Abstract
The conclusions of the 10th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, which took place in Oran, Algeria, on December 17 and 18, 2023, were adopted by the PSC during its 1193rd meeting. Applauding the departing A3 Members, the Council encouraged the newly constituted A3, Algeria, Mozambique, and Sierra Leone, to keep the momentum going, hold onto the progress made so far, and keep enhancing their unity and coordination in order to better represent and lead Africa on peace and security issues that are important to and affect the continent within the UNSC's decision-making process. In line with earlier Assembly and PSC decisions, Council also underlined the necessity of the A3 to preserve, respect, protect, and promote in its totality,the decisions of AUPSC on matters concerning peace and security on the African Continent under consideration by the UNSC. Lastly, Council requested the AU Commission, to facilitate the effective implementation of the outcomes of the 10th High-Level Seminar.
