Monthly Brief for the Activities of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) - March 2022

Abstract

This bulletin provides a summary of activities of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union for the month of March 2022 under the Chair of the Kingdom of Lesotho. The activities include an open session on youth, peace and security; reconfiguration of the AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM); consideration of the draft Conclusions of the 1st joint retreat of the PSC and the APRM (eThekwini Conclusions); update on the operationalization of the African Standby Force (ASF); Consideration of policies on child protection in AU PSOs and mainstreaming child protection into APSA; and briefing on the implementation of the Pelindaba Treaty.
