dc.description.abstractThe Provisional Programme of Work for January 2022 was adopted on 10 December 2021, in line with the annual indicative programme of work for the year 2022. One ministerial level meeting was held on the general debate of PSC and the African Members of the United Nations Security Council (A3) on African matters on the UN Security Council agenda; five meetings were held at ambassadorial level on the situation in Sudan and South Sudan, consideration of the report on the activities of the Peace and Security Council and the state of peace and security in Africa, promotion of constitutionalism, democracy and inclusive governance to strengthen peace, security and stability in Africa, renewal of the MNJTF mandate as well as elections in Africa; and one meeting of the PSC Committee of Experts.en
