4th Report of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union on the Implementation of the African Union Master Roadmap of Practical Steps to Silence the Guns in Africa by the Year 2020, July 2018 - January 2019.

Abstract

The present Report covers the period from the last AU Summit held in, Nouakchott, Mauritania, in July 2018 to the 32nd ordinary session of the Assembly taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 10 and 11 January 2019. It provides, among the key aspects, the efforts deployed by the PSC, all AU Member States, RECs/RMs in the implementation of the ARMR, an overview of the major challenges being encountered in the implementation of the AUMR, the steps taken by various stakeholders to implement the AUMR, and the progress made thus far, as well as recommendations on how to further enhance efforts to silence the guns in the continent.
