This Manual on Modalities for Enhancing Coordination between the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU) and the African Members of the United Nations Security Council (A3) provides an institutional framework for strengthening cooperation between the AU PSC and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in promoting Africa’s peace and security agenda. Rooted in the principles of AU legal instruments and Agenda 2063, the manual aims to ensure a unified African voice within global peace and security deliberations. It outlines the objectives, structures, and practical mechanisms for synchronizing actions, improving information sharing, and bolstering the effectiveness of African representation at the UNSC.
