Incremental Steps Towards the International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATGs)

This Operational Guidance Note (OGN) forms part of a series produced by the African Union Commission in the field of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) Control. A range of OGNs have been designed as a resource for practitioners in the field who require a consolidated version of best practice standards laid down in the Modular Small-Arms-Control Implementation Compendium (MOSAIC). The MOSAICs collates international obligations contained within the relevant international agreements with the full range of best practice and standard operating procedures that have been developed in the field of Small Arms and Light Weapons Control. Each OGN in this series focuses on one specific aspect of SALW control contained within the MOSAICs.
