1201st Meeting of the Peace and Security Council, to be held on 21 February 2024, on Peace, Security and Development Nexus: Follow-up on the Tangier Conference.

Abstract

The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the African Union, H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi will preside over this meeting. A statement will be made by each of the AU Commissioners for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, and Economic Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry, and Mining, H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye and H.E. Ambassador Albert Muchanga. There will be statements from representatives of the United Nations Development Programme; the United Nations Office to the African Union; the African Development Bank; the African Export-Import Bank; and the AUDA-NEPAD African Union Development Agency. In a closed-door session, the PSC will address and assess the key elements of the draft conclusion document following queries for clarifications and general remarks.
