The Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU), at its 262nd meeting held in Addis Ababa, on 24 February 2011, was briefed by the Commission, by former President of Burundi, Pierre Buyoya, a member of the AU High‐Level Implementation Panel on Sudan (AUHIP), and by the Representative of Sudan on the status of the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), in particular on the referendum that was held in South Sudan, from 9 to 15 January 2011.
