The Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AU), at its 142nd meeting held on 21 July 2008, adopted the following decision in relation to the application made on 14 July 2008 by the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to the Pre-Trial Chamber of the ICC for it to issue a Warrant of Arrest under Article 58 of the Rome Statute of the ICC against the President of the Republic of the Sudan.
