Abstract
The 16th Annual Retreat of the PSC was organized as part of the ongoing efforts to further strengthen the PSC working methods, with a view to enabling the PSC to more effectively and efficiently discharge its mandate of promoting peace, security and stability in Africa, within the framework of the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) and African Governance Architecture (AGA), as embodied in the Protocol Relating to the Establishment of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union ( herein after referred to as ‘PSC Protocol’).
