The Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union (AU), at its 309thmeeting, held on 25 January 2012, was briefed by Ambassador Monica Juma, the Permanent Representative of Kenya to the AU, in her capacity as the Chairperson of the PSC for the month of January 2012, and Ambassador Ramtane Lamamra, the Commissioner for Peace and Security, on the deliberations of the UN Security Council meetings on Somalia and on the AU-UN partnership, that were held in New York, on 11 and 12 January 2012, respectively.
