Draft Report of the Field Mission of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union to the Republic of South Sudan, 5-8 March 2019

The PSC of the AU undertook a field mission to the Republic of South Sudan, from 5 to 8 March 2019, in line with its mandate to promote and enhance peace and security in the continent. The mission took place within the framework of the implementation of various decisions of the PSC on the situation in South Sudan. The Mission took place with a view to follow up on the implementation status of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS) signed on 12 September 2019, as well as express solidarity with the people of South Sudan and urge the parties to the conflict to uphold their commitments, in order to find a lasting solution to the conflict in their country.
