Publication: Communiqué of the 1126th Meeting of the Peace and Security Council, Held on 12 December 2022 on the Consideration of the Mandate of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
Abstract
The Council requested the AU Commission and the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) to renew the MoU and Support Implementation Agreement (SIA) that guides the provision of additional AU support to the MNJTF for a period of one year (1st February 2023 to 31st January 2024). The Council also decided to renew the mandate of the MNJTF for another 12 months with effect from 1 February 2023.
