Conclusions of the 11th High-Level Seminar on Peace and Security in Africa, 1-2 December 2024, Oran, Algeria. 

The 11th High-Level Seminar, held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Peace and Security Council (PSC), aimed to assess achievements, lessons learned, best practices, and challenges from previous seminars. It focused on strengthening the A3 Plus 1's ability to promote and defend African positions on peace and security within the UN Security Council. The seminar sought to enhance coordination between the AU PSC and the A3 Plus 1 for greater coherence. Additionally, the seminar recognized the 20th anniversary of the AU Counterterrorism Centre (AUCTC) and commended its efforts in bolstering African responses to terrorism and violent extremism. The need to fully equip the Centre to effectively fulfill its mandate was emphasized, highlighting the urgency of its enhancement to combat these issues more effectively.
