Abstract

Amb. Innocent Shiyo, the United Republic of Tanzania's Permanent Representative to the African Union, will preside over this meeting. H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, will make opening remarks. Professor Timothy Murithi, Head of the Peacebuilding Interventions Programme, Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, Cape Town, South Africa; a representative from the Institute for Security Studies; and a representative from AMANI Africa Media and Research will then each give a presentation. Following the PSC members' debate, H.E. Ambassador Innocent Shiyo will make his last remarks.
