Abstract
Amb. Daniel Owassa as Chairperson of the Peace and Security Council for October 2023 gave his opening statements followed by remarks from Amb. Bankole Adeoye, AU Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security. H.E. Professor Mohamed el Hacen Lebatt, Principal Strategic Adviser to the Chairperson of the AU Commission and Special Envoy to Sudan and H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Belaiche, Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission in Sudan each gave a briefing. Lastly a Representative of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) gave a statement.
