The Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AU) was briefed today, 14 May 2008, by Ambassador Ramtane Lamamra, the Commissioner for Peace and Security, on the attack on Khartoum on 10 May 2008, as well as on subsequent developments. Council was also briefed by the Representative of the Government of the Republic of the Sudan.
