The Peace and Security Council of the African Union, at its 89th meeting held on 24 August 2007, adopted a Communiqué on the implementation process of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed between the Government of Sudan (GoS) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A), on 9 January 2005.
