The Peace and Security Council, at its 93rd meeting held on 27 September 2007, was briefed on the outcome of the meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the countries of the region on Comoros and the Troop Contributing Countries to the African Union Electoral and Security Assistance Mission to Comoros (MAES), held in Cape Town, South Africa, on 18 September 2007. Council agreed to meet in due course to consider the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee and the way forward.
