The Role of Regional Economic Communities in Mediation

The Regional Economic Communities are an integral part of the African Union. I think we act primarily through the member states they are the ones, we implement our programs, but we also act through the regional economy communities in all walks of life. It's not just they are tools for economic integration indeed, but they are also the place where the basic components of our Peace & Security architecture are located.
