Abstract
The training programme sought to build the institutional capacity of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) Committee of Experts (CoE) by affording its new Members the opportunity to fully acquaint themselves with the core mandate, powers, objectives and functions of the PSC, particularly the role of the Committee itself.

The scope of the programme covered the Mandate/Terms of Reference and
Rules of Procedure of the CoE; the Manual on the Working Methods of the
PSC and the Protocol Relating to the Establishment of the Peace and Security
Council of the African Union.
