Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanism of the African Union Master Roadmap of Practical Steps to Silence the Guns in Africa by Year 2030.

The overarching essence of the Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanism is to measure progress made towards effectively Silencing the Guns in Africa. It allocates to each stakeholder tasks to be performed, monitored and evaluated, on a six-monthly, half-yearly and annual basis which will constitute a report of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) to be presented to each ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government until 2030, which is the extended period by which the goals of the silencing the guns initiative should be achieved.
