1196th Meeting of the Peace and Security Council, to be held on 29 January 2024, on (i) the Adoption of the Report on the Activities of the Peace and Security Council and the State of Peace and Security in Africa and (ii) the Common African Position on the Application of International Law to the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Cyberspace.

Her Excellency Ambassador Amma Adomaa Twum-Amoah will preside over this meeting. H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye will make remarks during the first agenda item, and PSC members will then move into discussion. H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye will provide remarks during the second agenda item, and Mr. Kwasi Asante will then present the Draft Common African Position on the Application of International Law to the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in the Cyber Space. Following the presenter's and the AU Commission's responses to questions, comments and clarification, the PSC members will debate, take into consideration, and adopt the summary of the main points of the draft outcome document.
