1202nd Meeting of the Peace and Security Council, to be held on 23 February 2024, on the Consideration on the Fight against Terrorism and Violent Extremism in Africa.

H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the African Union, will preside over this meeting, which is intended to receive a briefing on the fight against violent extremism and terrorism. Following the introductory comments by H.E. Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, there will be a presentation by Mr. Lallali Idriss Lakhdar, Acting Director of the Africa Center for the Research and Study on Terrorism. Following general remarks and clarifying inquiries, the PSC will meet in closed session to examine and debate important components of the proposed result document.
