Abstract
The main objectives of the consultative meeting is to create a forum for the AU PSC and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States to: a) Exchange views, share experiences, lessons and best practices on the on the peace and security in the region towards effective promotion of peace, security and stability in Africa; and b) Discussion on working methods for enhancing cooperation and collaboration between the two entities towards effectively silencing the Guns in the LAS Member States in Africa and reflect on practical means and ways of expediting the implementation of joint commitments, particularly the revitalization of annual joint consultative meetings.
