Members of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union, Cohort 14 (1 Apr 2024 – 31 Mar 2026) and Cohort 15 (1 Apr 2025 – 31 Mar 2028)

Abstract

The Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union currently comprises members from Cohort 14 (serving from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2026) and Cohort 15 (serving from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028). The Council includes 15 member states representing all five African regions. These members are Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda. Their terms vary between two and three years, ensuring balanced regional representation and continuity in promoting peace and security across the continent.
