1st Joint Consultative Meeting Between the Peace and Security Councils of the African Union and the League of Arab States, 18 – 19 December 2010, Cairo, Egypt.

The two Councils seized the opportunity of the meeting to review issues of common concern and devise ways and means of fostering peace, security and stability in the two regions, as they mutually impact on each other, and enhancing coordination of related efforts and initiatives. In particular, the two Councils had in‐depth discussions on the situations in Sudan, Somalia and the Comoros and other related situations, as well as on the latest developments in the Arab‐Israeli conflict.
